Mango butter is made from the seed kernel of the mango fruit. It has a white or creamy color and a subtle scent (not similar to the fruit itself). Its composition and moisturizing qualities are in my opinion most comparable to cocoa butter.
Mango butter contains valuable for the skin acids such as stearic, oleic and linoleic acid (unsaturated Omega-6 fatty acid). It also contains a high amount of vitamin E, C, D, A, group B vitamins, folic acid, iron, magnesium and calcium.
Due to the presence of antioxidants (vitamin E, C, and A) mango butter is an anti-age ingredient. It neutralizes toxins, helps generate skin cells renewal and helps prevent wrinkle formation. Usually signs of skin revitalization are visible after 6-8 weeks of daily use of mango butter.
Mango butter also protects skin from sun damage, heals eczema, rashes and tightens skin.
