Blueberry face mask

Inspired by blueberry season (and by the fact how healthy and good they are for your body) I have created a blueberry face mask. It felt and smelled absolutely great on my face, that is why I though I would share it with you. It also softened my skin and made it feel very fresh.

Blueberries (known also as bilberries or whortleberries) are rich in antioxidants and many vitamins and minerals. They are especially rich in vitamins C and E. They are known to reduce inflammation and have an antiseptic effect on the skin. Therefore I though this would be a great mask for acne prone skin, which would leave skin soft and smooth afterwards.

Blueberry face mask

10-12 fresh blueberries
2 tbsp Greek yogurt
1/2 tsp olive oil
1 tsp white kaolin clay

Blend all the ingredients together. Apply the mask to a clean face and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse of with warm water afterwards.

You can keep this mask several days in the refrigerator if you do not use it all at once.
