Something I have been testing in the last few weeks are three different soaps from Lush: Figs and leaves, Rock start, and Sultana of soaps. One of them is definitely a keeper and I am sure I would not mind spending my money to buy it again.
Figs and leaves
I chose this soap because of the way it looked, smelled, and because it is a real soap and not a washing bar made with SLS named soap. Figs and leaves is a beige soap with fig seeds and wrapped in grape leaves. I loved the idea of this soap even before I bought it. I once read a review on Lush's website where someone described the scent of this soap as vintage, and this is exactly how I would describe it. According to Lush it smells of orange blossom and figs, I also scent a bit of an earthy undertone in the soap. Overall it made a good impression on me, the idea of a gentle exfoliating soap was very appealing to me. Indeed it has a very creamy texture and is not drying to the skin. I would say that for a soap it is moisturizing. The fig seeds exfoliate in a gentle way and shouldn't cause any trouble for people with sensitive skin. The soap have a good lather too. Everything was perfect until I wanted to use this soap for the third or fourth time. Frankly speaking it is a mess. The grape leaves start to come of from the soap, the fig seeds are everywhere in the sink/shower and the soap turns into a mushy bar which looks and feels like it will fall apart any minute. This soap bar did not last very long in my bathroom, and even though I found the smell very appealing and it was incredibly gentle and moisturizing I don't think I will ever buy it again nor recommend it to anyone else. It is sort of a shame to buy such an expensive soap and see most of it fall apart and go down the drain...

Rock star
I have to be honest I didn't think much of this soap at first. I didn't like its extremely pink color, nor the fact that it seemed very plain compared to the other soaps in store. Most of all I didn't like the fact that it had SLS listed as one of the main ingredients, which made me pretty sure it would be drying for my skin. And it was rather drying for my hands and my body too when I used it under the shower. It didn't dissolve i my hands as quickly as the Figs and leaves soap did, but I can't say that it was the longest lasting soap I have tried in my life. What I did like about this soap is the overly sweet smell which I found addicting after unwrapping it and placing it in my bathroom. I would describe the smell as a mixture of vanilla with cotton candy and it was intoxicating to breath in for some strange reason. I liked that the smell lingered in my bathroom making it smell gorgeous. Also what I noticed is that the smell stayed on the skin a long time after washing. Unfortunately the smell is the only think I really liked about this soap, and that is definitely not enough to want to buy it again.

Sultana of soaps
Sultan of soaps is a creamy white soap with pieces of dried apricats, currants and cranberries in it. This soap really does look like and smell like the sweet treat turkish delight. I can't really say anything bad about this soap. It is creamy, lathers well, does not dry the skin, and last quite a long time (at least compared to the other Lush soaps I have used). As for the smell it has a delicate sweet scent, which like I mentioned earlier reminds me of turkish delight. Sadly it does not stay on the skin too long after washing. Also it is not strong enough to make the bathroom smell nice. I like the fact that it is a real soap made from rapeseed oil, coconut oil and sodium hydroxide and SLS as the cleaning agent. What I have noticed is that the bits of dried fruit in this soap are not as annoying as the fig seeds in Figs and leaves (maybe because there are only a few larger pieces instead of hundreds of tiny seeds). If I will be buying soap at a Lush store again I definitely will consider repurchasing Sultana of soaps (unless I decide I want to try something new instead!).
