Lush product review - Mask of Magnaminty

Another Lush product that I have tested was a face mask of theirs - Mask of Magnaminty. It's not one of their fresh face masks as this one has methylparaben added as a preservative. According to Lush this face mask is suppose to fight break outs. It is made of bentonite gel, kaolin clay, honey, talc, aduki beans, glycerine, evening primrose seeds and peppermint oil as the main ingredients. After applying it to my face three times these are my observations:

- has an ok mint smell, though personally I am not a huge fan of the scent
- it is easy to apply and spread on the face
- it dries up really quickly (at the Lush store they told me to keep it on for 10 minutes or until it is dry, but usually this happens after about 5 minutes)
- the peppermint oil gives a nice cooling and refreshing feeling while the mask is on my skin (luckily a small enough amount of peppermint oil is used so that it does not give an uncomfortable burning or stinging feeling)
- it does not dry out my skin too much
- can be used as a gentle scrub before washing the mask off
- leaves face refreshed, but I have not noticed it clearing up my face in anyway

In general I think it is an ok face mask. I do not like the fact that it has methylparaben as a preservative. Also it doesn't seem to really clear out break outs in anyway way. It is a nice refreshing face mask though and while I have definitely used face masks which were better this one was not too bad. Though personally I will not be buying it again as there are other face masks (store bought or home made) which I am much happier with.
