I received the enzymion moisturizer twice as a sample in a Lush store. As I make my own face moisturizers, and because the price of face moisturizers from Lush is just way too high for my test unless I got these free samples I probably would have never tried it.
Out of all Lush's face moisturizers I liked the concept of this one most because of several ingredients like evening primrose oil, fresh lemon juice, lemon infusion, cocoa butter and aloe vera gel. Those are all ingredients I know my skin likes very much. I was also excited about a product that contains papaya juice. I had read a lot about the benefits of papaya for ones skin and was quite curious about it.
After using this moisturizer for a few days I had the following thoughts:
- it has a pleasant delicate scent (most people do not like they're face moisturizers to be too scented)
- absorbs quickly when applied to skin
- it felt natural when applied to my skin, the texture was similar to the one of my own homemade moisturizers
- very light, good for a day cream, but for me too light to be used as a night moisturizer
- does not cause break outs and skin to become oily
- did not notice any changes in my skin (but then again I only used it for a few days)
- too pricey for my taste
Summing up I thought this moisturizer is rather pricey, but a good choice for those who would like a light, natural moisturizer, but do not have the time or will do make their own.
