DIY winter lip balm

Cold weather can make your lips very dry and chapped which is both unattractive and painful. During the winter I like to use a heavy lip balm based on beeswax and butters rather than beeswax and oils. Around this time of the year I find lanolin a great additive to my homemade lip balms as it is a great moisturizer. Also as the holiday season is just around the corner I decided to make a lip balm with a scent that reminds me of Christmas - orange & chocolate!

Ingredients:

1 tbsp beeswax pallets
1 tbsp unrefined cocoa butter
1 tsp virgin coconut oil
1 tbsp jojoba oil
1/2 tsp lanolin
5 drops vitamin E oil
10-15 drops sweet orange essential oil (or any other essential oil that make a great combination with the scent of cocoa butter)

Preparation:

Put all the ingredients except the vit. E and essential oil in a small glass jar. Place the jar in a pot with water and heat it up until all the ingredient have melted and blended well together. Cool down the mixture for a few minutes, next add the vit. E oil and essential oil. Mix everything together and pour into containers of your choice. Wait a few hours and then enjoy your homemade orange & chocolate lip balm!
