Lush bath products review

I usually don't get a chance to test Lush's bath products as I do not have a bathtub in my apartment (my next one is definitely having a bathtub though because there is nothing more relaxing then a nice warm bath). As I am visiting my parents for the Holidays I get to take as many baths as I want in the next few days. Taking advantage of this opportunity I decided to test some of Lush's bath products. I left the Lush store with a MMM Melthing Marshmallow Moment bath melt and Yuzu and Cocoa bubble bar and here are my thoughts on these two products:

MMM Melthing Marshmallow Moment

This was a pink, very sweet scented bath melt. For one bath I only needed to use half of the bath melt which is nice as it is quite pricey. The scent was very pleasant, yet perhaps for some it might be rather too sweet. It was easy to melt by just dropping it into a bathtub full of hot water and the scent lasted during the whole bath. Afterwards my skin felt very soft and smooth and I did not have to apply moisturizer to it. It also smelled very nice for the next few hours after the bath.

This bath melt has sodium bicarbonate and citric acid as the main ingredient which make it very similar to a bath bomb. Cocoa butter and almond oil work as moisturizers. The addition of herbs such as chamomile, marshmallow root and marigold make it soothing for the skin.

I was happy with this product and would consider buying it again next time I am looking for bath products

Yuzu and Cocoa

This is a orange and chocolate scented bubble bar. It is based on two surfactants - sodium lauryl sulfate and lauryl betaine. Usually I find products with sodium lauryl sulfate rather harsh for my skin, but I did not find this product irritating to my skin in any way. Also in this case I only used half of the bubble bar for one bath and from what i observed if you slowly let it melt in your hands under running water it gives a large amount of bubbles. I was definitely happy with the amount during my bath. It had a nice scent, though rather delicate, and it lasted during the whole bath. Afterwards my skin felt soft and moisturized.

This bubble bar also contains sodium bicarbonate, coconut oil and shea butter as the main ingredients. All though I was happy with this product I think I liked the marshmallow melt more, even though it was nice to take an actual bubble bath with Yuzu and Cocoa.
